Tilak is based on almost forty years of history and has earned a permanent place in the Czech outdoor sky. Tilac products have long been popular at home and foreign markets. It is one of the few Czech manufacturers who still sew its clothes in the Czech Republic and employ local seamstresses. At the same time, it's the only Czech company can sew products made of the Gore-Tex material under its own brand. Quality, reliability and fairness – these are the values on which Tilak prides itself. Come with us to explore their winter portfolio! In the Rigad offer you will find jackets, pants, sweatshirts and winter accessories.
The establishment of the Šumperk clothing company Tilak dates back to 1986, when its founder and now the "father of the company" Roman Kamler sewn the first product on his home-based sewing machine. He started with the production of feather sleeping bags to earn money for his climbing expeditions. Over time, he focused on functional jackets and later on other parts of clothing.
Tilak uses unique materials and solutions for its clothes. After all, it is, among other things, the only domestic manufacturer of outdoor clothing that meets the strict conditions of the Gore company. This allows Tilak to make products from the Gore-Tex material and mark individual products with this trademark. Tilak also focuses on details, because it puts into practice the theory that each product is just as good as its weakest spot.
In Rigad you can dress in Tilak almost from head to toe this winter. Let us now introduce products from the winter assortment.

We must start with a winter jacket, because it is a piece of clothing that the coldest season differs most from the others with. It is the Tilak Svalbard Infinium that can proudly carry the Gore-Tex® brand. It is a warm jacket for versatile outdoor use, but you can simply pack in the backpack if necessary. This is despite the fact that the jacket is designed for truly harsh conditions.
It is a men's winter jacket, which is due to the material used waterproof, vapor permeable and wind-resistant. Which are the features we somehow expect from the winter jacket. But with part of the jackets that are available on the market, we might be disappointed in this respect. Not so with the Svalbard Infinium jacket from Tilak, which fulfills its functional properties perfectly. And it looks good as well.
Another jacket we want to introduce to you belongs to the military series Tilak Military Gear. This series generally includes functional outdoor clothing from Tilak, which, however, as well as in civilians can be used for tactical and military purposes. You can wear the Ketil MiG model as the outer jacket, or as a thermal insulation layer under the outer jacket if the temperatures actually move deep below zero.
The Ketil Mig jacket by Tilak Military Gear is in the modified version used by the rescuers of the Czech Mountain Rescue Service. It uses a synthetic fleece as an insulating layer. Again - although this jacket is designed for cold conditions, there is no problem to create a truly compact package when not using it. Of course there are various anatomical elements and functional details that make it easier to move in it, which you will appreciate not only during tactical operations, but also during outdoor trips.
The Tilak Military Gear series also includes the Siberia jacket. At first glance, it is more minimalist, but it is designed for similarly demanding conditions. Again, it is insulated with synthetic fleece (Climashield) and again it is a perfectly designed piece, behind which there are the golden Czech hands. The Acronym design studio from Munich, Germany, was involved in the design of this jacket. Again, we have an anatomical solution, including high freedom of movement in the sleeves or the lower hem adjustable with a drawstring. So you won't cool down in this jacket, but at the same time you won't feel in it like in a strait jacket.
As you can guess from the name of the jacket, you can rely on its great thermal insulation properties even in extreme frosts. In short, on the days when Siberia is outside. In addition, under the jacket you can logically lay the clothes and use it as a top layer of functional clothing composition, so in the field you will be ready for everything in terms of your gear and insulation of your body.
Also this piece, which is made of Polartec Alpha, will certainly be useful for winter. The advantage of this material is the fact that you will not have to constantly undress and dress your jacket in changing weather. The jacket is light and again easily packable. Its material warms up before physical activity and keeps body temperature and drains sweat during it. Polartec Alpha is characterized by excellent breathability, water-repellent surface DWR treatment, body temperature control and easy maintenance.
This insulated jacket can again boast of sophisticated anatomical elements, such as sleeves shaped for a trouble-free movement. The jacket also has elastic side panels or extended rear part. Adjusting drawstring on the sides then again facilitates the control of ventilation.
Under one of the above jackets, you can easily wear something practical and low-profile like the Serak sweatshirt. This, again, belongs to the Mig series or Tilak Military Gear. You can use this sweatshirt as a second, insulating layer of functional clothing composition, but also as the first, absorbent layer, something at the level of thermal underwear. Serak promises its wearers a tight fit and anatomical shape, while the back of the sweatshirt is extended, the sleeves are raglan and the seams are flat. Thanks to all this you can expect high wearing comfort.
This sweatshirt is made of the Polartec Power Stretch material and can boast an anatomical cut and can be worn as a top layer, or as a second, insulating layer during your outdoor activities during winter. The material used provides the wearer perfect comfort and thermal insulation. And the firmly sewn hood protects the user against harsh weather. The Femund Polartec is simply an extremely comfortable and practical model for the widest use.
These trousers, which are an ideal upper layer for the lower body, bear the name from the eponymous Norwegian islands. The nature in Nordic areas, however, can be harsh, and therefore it is necessary to equip for it properly. In this case, the Tilak brand is a matter of course with its precise workmanship, with the main material used is 100% Ventile cotton in combination with elastic polyamide.
These trousers can boast a comfortable cut that bring freedom of movement to the carrier. The pants are tight and largely adapt to your body in shape. This is also provided by anatomically shaped knees. This model is, as is the standard, made in the Czech Republic and it is equipped with a lot of practical pockets.
The claim that in cold weather, most heat escapes through the head, is a myth. The entire surface of the body emit the heat evenly. Which, however, does not mean that you should stop solving the hat. It is the winter hat, which is an important element of outdoor equipment. Because the rest of your body is protected, but through your head, there would still be some heat – and it should be noted that unnecessarily – escaping.
The winter hat of the Tilak Military Gear brand is again made of the thermal insulation material Polartec Power Stretch. It is low-profile and has flat seams, so it is really good to wear it. In addition, this hat is compatible with a protective helmet or hearing protectors, so it is also suitable for tactical use.
The last piece of the assortment of the Czech company Tilak, which we will introduce in this article, is this thermal-insulating rolling hat. This model, like the previous one, is also possible to wear under a helmet. As part of the material of this hat, polyamide is largely contained, which guarantees much higher mechanical resistance than conventional fleece. The fabric of the hat is breathable and does not absorb body humidity. And this thermal-insulating hat is made in the Czech Republic, like the other Tilak products mentioned above.
