If you want to sleep well and comfortably on your travels into the unknown, then a travel hammock is the obvious choice. And where else to look for travel hammocks than at a specialist in this product, the Polish brand Lesovik, which has been specializing in travel hammocks for more than a decade.
The Lesovik Draka travel hammock is a piece that has everything you need for comfortable sleeping in the field. It is exceptionally spacious, it has above-average ergonomics, it is lightweight, it already has an advanced hanging system, and it is also equipped with a "shelf" for storing things you want to have close at hand. In addition, it is made directly in Poland, and the brand founders themselves have control over the production.
However, the element that distinguishes the Draka hammock from the competitors the most is the integrated mosquito net. It is also equipped with custom zippers that were developed directly for the Lesovik company. The zippers are located on both sides and are full length, non-jamming and have contrasting sliders for easy finding. The mosquito net itself has a dense mesh that does not let even the smallest bugs through.
However, you can sleep on the Lesovik Draka hammock just like that, without a mosquito net. Maybe there are no mosquitoes around or it's "just" too cold. In that case, you can remove the mosquito net literally in half a minute and you can safely store it in the included accessory bag.
The mosquito net, which is part of the package of the Draka hammock, does not need any extra anchor lines or a separate hanging system to function. Only its cut and construction hold it in place and in the right position. According to the manufacturer, the flexible mesh cooperates with the user.
The manufacturer of the Draka developed it as the comfort equivalent of sleeping in the forest. Every element of the hammock was designed to serve exactly this purpose. The extended sleeping surface, which is also symmetrical, allows you to lie on it in basically any direction.
The material used to make the sleeping area of the hammock is nylon with Ripstop treatment, which was originally used for military applications. It is resistant to damage, it can withstand several hundred kilograms of load and it is lightweight and breathable at the same time. Its Ripstop treatment ensures resistance to tearing. And if a crack does appear, it will not spread further.
Part of the delivery of the Lesovik Draka hammock is an integrated hanging system, the so-called SMUK system, which facilitates the installation of the hammock in nature. Included in the package are two tree huggers, which protect tree bark and provide a firm attachment point, two extra light carabiners, two hand-knit loops made of Dyneema, a fiber stronger than steel, and a ridgeline.
The Draka hammock is also equipped with accessories for sleeping outdoors. It is an organizer with a total of five pockets for storing things you want or need to have with you and two bags—one for the mosquito net and the other for the entire hammock.
The Lesovik Draka hammock is complemented by two flexible, elastic extensions that increase its spaciousness and thus facilitate access to the sleeping bag, simplify the arrangement of the sleeping space and improve visibility—in other words, you can easily find things that you forgot in the hammock here.
The individual accessories and elements of the Draka are displayed in contrast so that even users with certain visual impairments, such as night blindness or color blindness, can see them. The blue carabiners are easily visible in green grass, and the white plastic elements on the sliders of the zippers also help visibility. The design of the hammock also facilitates its use by people with mobility restrictions.
When manufacturing the Draka hammock, the manufacturer also thought about sustainability. For example, sewn tags are made from recycled yarn and plastic elements from recycled waste from products that did not even reach consumers. Production planning minimizes the creation of surpluses and scraps, and the minimalist packaging is again partially made from recycled materials.
