Who wants lower protection against water and moisture, raise your hand. No one? I thought so. In short, we like to stay dry and in our comfort zone, which is a little different for each of us. Manufacturers know this very well, and that’s why they keep trying to improve our lives and their annual reports with their technologies. One such technology is the HydroTex® membrane.
HydroTex® is a highly elastic membrane that has recently been used more and more frequently. This is mainly due to its quality, versatility, and various types that have specific uses. If we want to look at HydroTex® in terms of structure, it is a homogeneous non-porous smooth membrane.
Classification
HydroTex® is divided into three materials based on its purpose:
- HydroTex® Lite - This type is very lightweight and serves as an outer layer. Besides its low weight, it is also strong and resistant to tearing. Its base is 40D rip-stop. A silicone layer is applied to the outside, and PU to the inside. The material is characterized by its long lifespan and excellent water resistance.
- HydroTex® Titan - Again an outer layer, primarily used for tents. The main material here is polyester with a honeycomb surface treatment. The PU coating and excellent manufacturing technologies ensure high strength even in adverse weather. The material maintains a water column of 5000 mm, which it is capable of holding even after several years of active use.
- HydroTex® 5000 - This is a simplified version of the HydroTex® Titan material. It is intended more for recreational use, not professional. The material does not have rip-stop treatment. It guarantees a water column of 5000 mm.
HydroTex® materials are very popular and used by companies worldwide. They will quickly gain your attention and favor.
