The Glock 20 Gen5 MOS is a pistol of the legendary brand in its fifth generation, which is equipped with a modular optical system and caliber 10 mm Auto, which is especially popular among hunters. This weapon brings with it high accuracy of shooting at the target, even at longer distances. The polymer body reduces recoil even with this relatively powerful caliber.
Every Glock Gen5 pistol is equipped with “beaver tail” backstraps in two sizes. The back strap frame allows users to change the circumference of the handle to fit their individual hand size.
The front of the magazine butt is enlarged, making it easier to remove the magazine from the pistol if it does not drop out on its own due to a malfunction or during reloading. Other ergonomic features include the front serrations of the barrel, which not only differentiates the weapon in appearance, but also adds an additional tactile surface for an overall better grip of the weapon.
The RTF (Rough Textured Frame) handle from the 4th generation (Gen4) of Glock pistols also provides a better and more secure grip. It has proven itself, so we can now find it in the fifth generation as well. The texture is designed to facilitate the grip, but at the same time not be too aggressive.
The Glock Marksman barrel (GMB) has advanced barrel rifling, which is based on a polygonal barrel design. The result is increased shooting accuracy.
One of the security features of the Glock 21 Gen5 pistol is the indicator of the presence of a bullet in the chamber, thanks to which you will no longer have to doubt whether or not the weapon is fully unloaded.
The magazine catch on the frame of the Glock 21 Gen5 pistol is double-sided and enlarged towards the rear of the weapon. The double-sided magazine catch is more practical and allows you to better adapt the weapon to your needs. In addition, the magazine well (magwell) is enlarged at the entrance so that you can insert the magazine into the magwell faster and more automatically.
It is already a tradition for the Glock brand to use a modular optical system (MOS), and this configuration simplifies the installation of popular optical sights. Thanks to the mounting rail, other accessories can be attached from the bottom side of the barrel – for example, tactical flashlights or lasers.
The polymer frame of the gun is lightweight and at the same time durable, and its advantage is also a reduced recoil thanks to the damping properties of the polymer, which is especially useful in the case of heavy calibers. The nDLC surface treatment (nano diamond-like carbon) also increases the resistance of the frame, mainly against corrosion and scratches. At the same time, this modification increases the pistol's ability to function in more demanding conditions.
The safety features of the pistol, in addition to those already mentioned, also include the orange bottom of the magazine, which visually assures you that the magazine is really empty. The trio of safeties that are part of the Safe Action system are automatically disengaged one by one when the trigger is pressed, and all are reactivated when the trigger is released.
Regardless of whether your dominant hand is right or left, the ambidextrous bolt stop lever facilitates fast, safe and comfortable bolt handling. Ergonomics and universality of use are also increased by the missing finger grooves on the handle – thanks to this, the gun can suit a wider range of users.
