Ballistol is a product that has been around for over a hundred years, yet it still possesses all modern features: it is non-toxic to nature and humans, and it can lubricate absolutely everything from weapons and machines to leather items or protect wood.
At the turn of the twentieth century, the then German Imperial Army was seeking the most versatile oil that could do everything: keep metal weapon parts running, clean metal parts, and also protect and clean wooden parts (especially stocks) + all other leather equipment of a soldier. As part of the development of such an oil, the army contacted Friedrich Klever and his son Dr. Helmut Klever, a professor of chemistry at the Technical University in Karlsruhe.
In 1904, Dr. Helmut Klever succeeded and named his creation “Ballistol” (derived from the Latin words “ballistic” and “oil”). As soon demonstrated in practice, his invention had truly amazing parameters and capabilities. The Imperial Army tested the oil and adopted it for active use until 1945.
As time passed, more and more people began to replace other oils with Ballistol, as it was by far the highest quality. Within about ten years, Swiss, Austrian, and German hunters, boat owners, tourists, and outdoor enthusiasts began using Ballistol.
The company F.W. KLEVER GmbH and its key product Ballistol take nature and the problems of our planet seriously, making it completely harmless to the environment. With Ballistol, you can lubricate something, lubricate a machine, clean and lubricate your equipment without contaminating the surroundings.
The product known as “Ballistol” is entirely biodegradable, and its use or spillage does not pollute either water or air. Its natural decomposition also does not produce any environmentally harmful by-products. Ballistol also uses a propane-butane mixture for propulsion out of the bottle and does not contain CFCs. Additionally, Ballistol does not irritate the skin and is not carcinogenic.
