The Esbit brand is quality outdoor equipment for drinking, eating, and cooking. The brand is backed by Esbit Compagnie GmbH located in Hamburg, Germany.

The Esbit brand has its origins dating back to 1936, when the pocket stove and solid fuel (solid alcohol) were invented. Esbit Compagnie GmbH was founded in 1949 in Hamburg. The company is a family business, initially led by Mr. Paap, and now the third generation bearing the name (Philip & Robert Paap) runs the company. This ensures the preservation of traditional quality and values and meeting high product demands now and in the future.

The tradition of the Esbit brand is more than 60 years old. Many millions of the famous pocket stoves have been produced over time and are still among the products manufactured today. Due to their emphasis on quality, the Esbit brand has achieved a leading global position in the production of solid fuel, which is used for various activities such as camping and hiking, trekking and cycling tours, mountaineering, and similar activities, but it is also a standard part of survival kits (known as KPZ) for armed forces and humanitarian organizations around the world. Nowadays, Esbit dry alcohol and pocket stoves are used by many NATO alliance armies.

Solid fuel is a reliable source of fire for cooking and heating food or beverages, with minimal storage space requirements. Esbit solid fuel has therefore been awarded many global prizes, and the word Esbit has even become a commonly used term for solid fuel.

Today, the Esbit brand is, of course, not "just" about pocket stoves and solid fuel. Its product portfolio also includes food thermoses/containers, vacuum drink thermoses, charcoal grills, solid and liquid fuel stoves, outdoor coffee makers, drinking bottles, mugs, and thermal mugs, cooking and dining equipment such as dish sets, titanium utensils, and much other outdoor equipment. Esbit products are innovative yet simple, making them user-friendly. Esbit products can be relied on anytime and anywhere, even in extreme conditions.
