The Cobra safety glasses by the French Bollé® Safety with panoramic field of view offer a 180° vision span and a perfect optical quality free from visual interference. They also offer the replacement of temples and an adjustable retainer, which makes them a truly versatile model. Cobra provide a great protection from all mechanical and chemical hazards. They are certified with respective standards and guarantee a great level of protection and comfort.
The Cobra glasses feature sturdy and durable polycarbonate lenses 2.2mm thick. 2 anti-slip straight adjustable temples with pivots facilitate an extraordinary fit. Temples can be completely removed and replaced with the included 15mm adjustable headband. When using the headband, for better comfort it is recommended to use EVA foam padding on the glasses. A non-slip bridge provides even more comfort. The glasses are supplied with the above-mentioned temples, headband and foam, 3 replaceable lenses and microfibre bag, everything stashed in a separate padded rigid case.
The lenses' anti-fog coating facilitates optimum working conditions. It prevents fogging at high temperature differences of the ambient environment the user is working in. Their scratch-resistant coating functions as a shield enhancing the durability of lenses and prevents scratches. The ESP technology surface coating is an innovative finish that decreases glare and harmful effect of blue light, ESP = Extra Sensory Perception. This coating is patented and filters out 57% of blue light and 99.99% of UVA / UVB radiation. At the same time, it provides a high degree of permeability and transmits 64% of visible light (for comparison - clear lenses filter out only 10% of blue light and transmit 10% of visible light).
Why protect eyes from blue light? Blue light is 10 times stronger than red light, glares in all directions and damages retina. Possible undesired effects include - decreased visual acuity, loss of contrast and depth, unpleasant feelings and glare, damage to eyes, headaches, blurry vision and partial or complete blindness. Blue light wavelengths range from 380 to 480 nm. ESP is great for both indoor and outdoor use. Glasses with smoke or ESP lenses also conform to EN 172 and guarantee 99.99 % of UV radiation, which makes them suitable for working outside. The EN 172 standard applies to industrial use glasses, not to regular sunglasses specified in a different standard.
The clear version conforms to EN 170. This coating filters out UV radiation. Such type of protection is recommended to environments with UV radiation sources, i.e., mercury-vapour lamps, UV lamps or germicidal lamps (disinfection).
Lenses should be cleaned on a regular basis. Bollé® Safety recommends using only the Bollé® B-clean cleaning system. If lenses get scratched or otherwise damaged, the entire product must be replaced. If the frame gets damaged, the entire product must be replaced. After use, it is recommended to keep the glasses inside the microfibre bag or rigid case (case and bag are sold separately).
All Bollé® products must be stored at a dry and clean place.
