Amazonas® Moskito Traveller Thermo hammock

Amazonas Moskito Traveler Thermo is an ultra-light hammock that protects you from intrusive insects thanks to the integrated mosquito net. In addition, it is made in a subtle green color, so you will be inconspicuous while sleeping in nature.

Protects against various types of insects

As the name suggests, the hammock with a mosquito net will protect you from mosquitoes. But that's not the only type of insect you'll be safe from while sleeping in this hammock. The mosquito net will also stop other flying insects, such as flies and midges, as well as crawling insects, such as ticks, ants or cockroaches. The entrance to the hammock is on the side with a double zip.

Expansion rods

Unlike most other hammocks, this model is equipped with patented expansion rods, thanks to which the mosquito net can be extended to create a generous interior sleeping space. An integrated rope can be used to tension the net. The company Amazonas uses very fine mosquito nets with a value of 1000 to 1500 MESH for its hammocks, which is well above the WHO requirement (156 MESH). It also protects against smaller insects.

You can also use it without a mosquito net

Naturally, the hammock can also be used without a mosquito net. This is if you decide to sleep in it outside the insect season, or if you spend the night in places where there are not too many intrusive insects. You can use the hammock in different seasons thanks to the green color design, which blends in with the surroundings.

For mat integration

The Thermo variant helps all users to keep the sleeping mat in place, which further insulates it from the cold outside. At the bottom of the hammock there is a special practical compartment with reinforced seams just for the mat. Even more luxurious mats with a thickness of up to 7 cm can fit inside.

Practical details

Practical details of this hammock also include two drip lines (droppers) that are included in the package and prevent water from running down the anchor rope to the hammock when it rains. In addition, the cord of the mosquito net is practically moved inside. The two internal rope stoppers then enable optimal tension of the net and the anchor line can no longer be lost. And the ridgeline can be used as a hanging point for lighter objects such as lamps.

Simple assembly

Assembling the hammock for sleeping is a matter of a moment with the Mosquito Traveler Thermo – just like taking it apart and packing it up in the morning. In addition, you will not need any extra suspension point for the ridgeline rope. In addition to the hammock itself, the package includes two expansion rods, two discharge lines, a mosquito net, a ridgeline and a transport bag. On the contrary, you will not find fastening ropes or a mat in the delivery.

Compatible with Amazonas blankets

The Amazonas Moskito Traveler Thermo hammock is perfectly compatible with Amazonas blankets (hammock quilts), thanks to the fact that 2 small loops are sewn on each side of the hammock directly between the mosquito net and the hammock fabric. These can be connected to the 4 T-pieces that are attached to the blankets under the hammock (Underquilt) Amazonas. These are sold separately. Thanks to this compatibility, the blanket will not slip off your hammock.
