The Montane Tornado Gore-Tex winter gloves are designed for activities where protection from the elements is required. They are an essential part of equipment for expeditions in high mountains and other demanding events.
The outer GRANITE STRETCH softshell fabric allows unrestricted movement and provides a high degree of durability. The internal GORE-TEX membrane provides superior protection against moisture, but at the same time it is highly breathable and well wicks away the produced sweat. In the most stressed areas, in the area of the palm and on the underside of the fingers, areas of goat skin are sewn. Such treatment does not reduce flexibility, but significantly increases resistance to abrasion, which you will appreciate when working with a rope or when climbing.
To protect against the cold, the fingers and the back of the hand are insulated with synthetic hollow fiber PRIMALOFT GOLD, which maintains warmth even when wet. A soft brushed microfleece lining provides additional insulation, dries incredibly quickly and contributes to a comfortable wearable feel. On the wrist you will find a tightening cuff with Velcro. The gloves are anatomically shaped for ease of movement and a firm grip on trekking poles, ice axes and other equipment. The fingers have a special 3D construction with a reduced number of seams. A great advantage of Montane Tornado gloves is the ability to control mobile phones, tablets and other touch devices. Control pads with metal fibers are located on the index finger, thumb and middle finger.
