The portfolio of tactical and survival equipment from the Polish manufacturer Helikon-Tex also includes navigation devices such as compasses. These include the Ranger MK2 model, which is a classic lensatic (prismatic) compass - because what's more reliable than good old optics and mechanics?
Helikon-Tex says of its Ranger MK2 compass that it is one of the most classic compasses yet is "almost bombproof". In addition to the processing, the round aluminum construction is also classic, which is light and at the same time above average durable. For even greater reliability, the compass is filled with liquid.
One of the few modern features that Helikon-Tex has equipped its Ranger MK2 with is LED lighting, thanks to which you can easily use it even at night without an external light source. The LED solution has the advantage that it has a very low energy consumption and therefore a long battery life.
