PVC (polyvinyl chloride) is a synthetic polymer and one of the most widely used plastics globally. It is known for its chemical resistance, durability, and versatility. PVC is produced in two primary forms – rigid (unplasticized) PVC and flexible (plasticized) PVC, each with distinct properties and applications.
When burned, PVC can release toxic gases such as hydrogen chloride. It is therefore not recommended for fire-prone environments.
