Around the year 2003, the Polish armed forces introduced a desert version of their otherwise standard uniform "wz93 Pantera". This version not only featured an updated camouflage pattern but was also renamed to "wz2000". It is sometimes referred to in the Polish army, literature, or market as the "Snajper" ("sniper") type or "Pantera Pustynna" ("Desert Panther").
