What is the Paratex^® Steelplate fabric like?

• Paratex^® Steelplate is a very lightweight fabric.
• However, it is also quite tough and durable.
• It is highly breathable (and here we have a specific number – within twenty-four hours, twelve liters of water passes through one square meter of it).
• Paratex^® Steelplate also has great capabilities in terms of wicking water away.
• Yet it has an amazingly soft feel to the touch.
• It is wind-resistant to a degree that it can keep out even very strong and fierce winds outside your product's lining – this corresponds to the English standard of about 3 cfpm (cubic feet per minute).
• Paratex^® Steelplate has an external DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating, which must occasionally be maintained if it is to function consistently (dry and wash on the lowest setting, occasionally renew the coating using a product like Nikwax or Grangers).
• It is a fabric that is entirely designed, manufactured, and knitted in Europe and not elsewhere in the world.
