Description and parameters

The Eberlestock Dragonfly II pack is an extremely practical hunters' pack for multiple-day hunts. It features both a large space to carry your gear as well as an integrated bag to haul that catch. To ensure your maximum comfort when carrying a rifle, the pack has an in-built rifle scabbard. Using an external piece that attaches to the front pockets through zips you can double the pack's volume. Unlike the older version - "Dragonfly Tactical", this pack is made from Cordura / aramid for maximum durability, light weight, as well as abrasion and flame resistance. In case you need to use a longer rifle though, go for the Dragonfly Tactical.

Sophisticated pocket system

The pack's dominant feature are three compression straps on the front, two horizontal and one vertical, connecting the top lid with the bottom tiltable flap with three rows of MOLLE webbing. On the side of the pack are a hydration bladder pocket and a bottom pocket for water bottle, tripod etc. The pack's lid contains two pockets with a water-proof zip closure. After unfastening the vertical compression strap you get access to two tubular pockets with vertical water-proof zip closure. In the middle, the pockets are connected with a zip, when you unzip it, you can move the pockets to the sides and uncover the space inside with an expandable mesh bag.

Integrated rifle scabbard

The patented integrated rifle scabbard system enables comfortable rifle carry without using your hands. The scabbard is placed near the back panel for the best possible distribution of weight.

Fanny-top removable fanny pack

The Dragonfly II pack is by default equipped with the removable Fanny-Top to stash your essentials for survival and if need be, carry on with your mission using only this fanny bag.

Elaborate back system

Just like all other Eberlestock backpacks, the Destroyer is also equipped with quality shoulder straps, which are sufficiently padded yet breathable due to the used 3D mesh material. In addition to that, the shoulder straps may be compressed using stabilization straps so as to adjust the distribution of weight and pressure on the shoulders. A big plus of the back system is its individual adjustability based on the height of the user. The back padding is simply massive and the central channel leaves enough room for the air to circulate around the spine. The pack fits comfortably even during long hikes. On the shoulder straps are several additional loops for the attachment of some extra gear to include the hydration bladder tube to make sure it holds firmly in place. On the top, there is of course a reinforced carry handle. An elastic sternum strap adjustable in height will help you better distribute the carried load. On the waist belt are two rows of MOLLE compatible webbing, it is fastened with a plastic buckle just like the sternum strap. In case you do not need it, you can simply undo the velcro in the back panel and remove it. In the middle is a compression strap, by which you can compress and narrow the pack.

Aluminium carrier frame

The Dragonfly II carrier system is based on an aluminium frame the pack is attached to. Similar to the "F1 MainFrame", the frame is bent at the bottom to provide enough room for stashing your sleeping bag or catch bag.

Expanding capacity

The capacity of the backpack can be extended by attaching a compatible transport bag - for instance the Spike Camp Duffel, which adds about 41 litres of space or the Super Spike Duffel, by which you add as much as 47.5 litres of space.
