The products of the Norwegian brand Devold are among those that members of various expeditions choose for the most extreme hikes. A large part of these products (usually clothing accessories) is made of merino wool, which boasts unique properties and functionality that no synthetic fabric has yet been able to imitate.
The Expedition 230 balaclava is no exception among Devold products. It is again made of merino wool and is intended for real winter. You can use it, for example, during tourism and outdoor activities, during winter sports, alpine tourism, hunting and fishing and – as its name already suggests – during winter expeditions.
The highly warm Devold Expedition 230 balaclava will keep not only your head, but also your neck and nape warm, even when the frost is raging around. In addition to these, the hood can also protect against wind and light rain. Thanks to its close-fitting design, the balaclava will ensure a high level of thermal comfort while maintaining freedom of movement and flexibility.
The Devold Expedition 230 balaclava boasts a two-layer design, with each layer having its own function. The inner one, which is made of 100% merino wool, wicks sweat and other moisture away from the body. The outer layer is more durable and merino wool is combined with a 10% admixture of polyamide. Both layers, inner and outer, also boast excellent thermal insulation properties.
Like other products of the Norwegian brand Devold, the Expedition 230 balaclava also holds the OEKO-TEX certificate, which guarantees its health and safety. Other advantages include easy maintenance and the fact that merino wool is the only material that keeps you warm even when wet. In addition, it is a highly odour-resistant material.
