The Boonie Recce ČSLA pattern 60 hat from the Czech company Combat Systems is specially designed for snipers from the armed forces and for members of reconnaissance units. However, outdoor enthusiasts, airsoft fans, campers and all those looking for reliable protection from the sun and protection from the wind will also appreciate its great properties.
The Boonie Recce ČSLA hat boasts a practical and comfortable fit that fits almost everyone. In addition, the hat's narrow brim and low top ensure a perfect field of vision in every situation. Therefore, it cannot happen that the head covering restricts you in any way or prevents you from having an overview of your surroundings. The hat will suit you even on hot summer days, the mesh strip around its perimeter reliably ensures sufficient ventilation and prevents unpleasant sweating.
The history of the creation of the camouflage pattern 60, popularly referred to as "needles", started in the 1960s on the basis of the project of the Warsaw Pact troops. Armies included in the Warsaw Pact were to use a similar color scheme of uniforms. The pattern of the needles was based on the pattern of the camouflage uniforms of the German Democratic Republic, which for a change were based on an older German camouflage pattern. Czechoslovakia thus created its own model. The idea of print, vertical lines – needles, was preserved. But the background color was changed and spots of the same color but in a different shade were added.
As it is primarily a tactical accessory, the Boonie Recce hat can also offer sufficient camouflage elements. Camouflage options are offered, which include both a grid of paracord in the upper part of the hat, as well as a perimeter ring with eyelets. In addition, the hat also has excellent camouflage in the IR spectrum and meets military standards according to Mil-Spec.
Besides the camouflage properties, there are also situations where you need to be quickly and easily identified. That's why the Boonie hat is equipped with a Velcro panel in the front, to which an identification tag can easily be attached. We also have two panels with Velcro in the back, which are used to place distinctive signs (IR, or reflective squares, or so-called cat eyes).
The first hat produced by Combat Systems saw the light of day three decades ago. Since then, production has undergone a number of welcome innovations and changes, and the only thing that has remained the same is the high quality of Czech Combat Systems products. The manufacturer is proud of the fact that it has already produced several thousand hats during its operation, and one of the latest results of its efforts is the Boonie Recce ČSLA model.
