Up to now, Helikon-Tex offered anoraks only in civilian designs. With the arrival of the Tracer anorak in ripstop fabric, this changes. This jacket is based on the Woodsman model, but there are some differences. Mainly in the camouflage design.
The back material of the Tracer anorak is the same as the rest of the jacket – it is not softshell as in the Woodsman. It is a mixture of polyester and cotton, which is resistant to fire and sparks and at the same time quite durable. Thanks to this, this material is not easily damaged by sharp objects or branches. New features also include shoulder and front pockets and more adjustment points to fit the jacket to the wearer’s figure.
This jacket from Helikon-Tex has a ripstop fabric. It is a weave that prevents tearing. And if a tear does occur, this treatment helps to prevent it from spreading easily.
Because the Tracer model lacks softshell, there are fully openable side zippers available here, which allow you to easily regulate ventilation while wearing. The Tracer anorak can thus serve as an alternative to a combat shirt or uniform.
Helikon-Tex Anorak Tracer is designed to be worn as an outer layer of functional clothing, even in cold months. The jacket has a loose "oversize" cut, so you can wear it over a fleece or another sweatshirt (such as the Helikon-Tex Wolfhound Hoodie). As a bonus, it adds a layer of camouflage, so you don't have to worry about the color of the lower layers of clothing.
Another advantage of the Helikon-Tex Anorak Tracer is its unisex design. Thanks to its loose cut, the jacket does not emphasize broad shoulders or the waist. You can adjust the fit of the jacket to the shape of your body at several points – on the sides of the hood, at the very bottom edge of the jacket, and at the waist. The jacket will thus fit anyone perfectly, you just need to choose the right size.
This anorak is equipped with a total of eight well-thought-out pockets. The zippered shoulder pockets will be useful - especially when wearing a tactical vest - preventing access to the front pockets (which are naturally also here). The front pockets are in fact three within the main compartment, and then there is one upper one, where you can fit, for example, a compass. The through hand pockets can hold gloves or you can use them to warm your hands thanks to their proximity to your body in cold weather.
