The M18 Training pistol from the American manufacturer ASP belongs to the Red Gun range of training weapons and represents a safe way of handling, transporting, storing and presenting weapons equipment by both police instructors and other members of the armed forces.
On a global scale, we quite often witness injuries to students and instructors during police and other training, for which "unloaded" firearms and "safe" knives are to blame, mostly of course in combination with the human factor. In order to prevent this from happening again, ASP has introduced the Red Guns series, realistic replicas of real weapons intended for training purposes.
Training weapons from the ASP company, including the M18 Training pistol, are very light and forgiving in the training environment to the mistakes of beginners and advanced players - no one is infallible. The advantage of using training variants is the higher probability that novices will not be deterred by the first failure. In addition, the weapons are made of strong and durable material, which is very important during training.
ASP produces its training weapons with a high degree of precision. Thanks to this, it creates exact copies of standard weapons that are compatible with safety cases for sharp variants. Red Guns have the exact look and handling of standard firearms for all training details, but in a safe form.
The latest generation of training weapons in the Red Gun series, including the M18 Training pistol, retains all the advantages of the original variants, but also brings something extra. Specifically, a fully functional magazine release button as well as removable and replaceable magazines. This allows for fully realistic training in gun handling and loading, without the risk of injury.
Like the standard Red Guns models, these new removable magazine variants are made from a patented and nearly indestructible polymer with internal steel reinforcement. Each of the so-called "Enhanced Red Guns" is equipped in the basic package with one magazine of the weight of a classic empty magazine; and one that weighs as much as a fully loaded magazine of the real version of the gun.
Red Guns, including the M18 Training pistol model, are safe equipment for training police and other armed forces personnel. The distinctive red color of Red Guns is not sprayed, but pressed, distinguishing the gun from real variants and making it clear that this is safe equipment for both the public and in a training environment. In addition, thanks to its processing, the color does not disappear during use.
