Pocket sharpening stone formed from novaculite known as Arkansas stone.It has two special grooves on one side for sharpening pointed objects such as fish hooks. It comes with practical leather pouch.
Step 1 - place the stone between thumb and forefinger or middle finger
Step 2 - apply a few drops of Nathan´s Honing oil to the stone surface
Step 3 - place the blade´s edge against the flat side of the stone and gently sharpen using single stroke (as if you were attempting to slice a thin layer off the side of the sharpener); Maintain consistent angle and use a gentle pressure
Step 4 - 3 - 5 strokes and then repeat this on the other side of the blade
Step 5 - continue until the blade is sharp
Step 6 - for sharpening fish hooks or other pointed objects use hollow lines.
Same use for both righ and left-handers.
